We would always advise visitors to leave the car behind and walk into Fowey from Fowey CL.  We certainly do not recommend driving through the town centre as it is likely to be crowded with pedestrians and there is very little room for pedestrians and vehicles.  Furthermore delivery vans often have no other option than to park on the road directly in front of the business they are delivering to.  This adds to the congestion and can result in lengthy delays.  If leaving the car behind is not an option Fowey has 3 principal car parks.

The main car park is located at the top of town and necessitates a climb down some steep steps to reach the town centre.  You can avoid the steps by taking the Fowey Town Bus.

The car parks at the northern end of the town are better suited to guests of Fowey CL.  Leave the CL and turn left onto Passage Lane.  The first car park is on the left in 0.7 miles.  During the winter, this car park is significantly smaller as it is used for over wintering the boats which are moored on the river the rest of the year.

The second car park is the Caffa Mill pay and display on the left 0.8 miles from Fowey CL.  The Fowey town bus will also collect from these two car parks or, alternatively, you can walk into town along Station Road.  I would recommend the latter option if you are fit and able as the walk is flat and pleasnt and not in the least bit taxing.

There is a fourth car park which is worth mentioning at the very southern end of the town which is well suited to visiting the beach at Readymoney Cove.  Drive to the far end of Hanson Drive.  The car park is on the right.  There is a public footpath that runs directly from the car park to the top of the hill above Readymoney cove.
